Flying the Forest of Arden

Working to the designs of Anna Fleischle, this project saw us constructing a raked stage, then, unusually, covering it with 14 tonnes of soil and sand. A further layer of floorboard panels, stained brown and with flying points fixed to the rear, enabled us to create a forest out of the very fabric of the stage. Further details included adding a water-filled pond and a steel firebox, allowing for an atmospheric campfire within the 'forest'.
