Bottle-Smashing Glamour

With the ceremony taking place the equivalent of 16 stories up, we had the time consuming job of craning in all our kit directly from the quayside before work could start on building the 130m² dance floor. A 2.1m high presenter platform was reached via a curved staircase with decorative handrail and played host to the key bottle-smash props of an old-fashioned movie camera and clapperboard ribbon 'cutters', operated by special guest, Darcey Bussell.
