Flying High in Lisbon

This Ceremony required Qmotion® to deliver a total of 35 axes of aerial automation, delivering precise control to various elements of the show. These included two flying 'boats', a 10m sphere weighing three tonnes, 21 aerial performers and seven fabric 'medals'. Installation took just three weeks as the Benfica Stadium in Lisbon was strung with 16 horizontal steel wire catenaries, with two further steel wires and hoists providing vertical movement.
