Hangar Space Hire

Our business operates from three ex-aircraft hangars. Two of these hangars are in full time use by Stage One but the third, Hangar 84, is available for hire.

At 30,000ft2 Hangar 84 is ideal for use as a test-build, pre-build or rehearsal space. The hangar is 73 metres in length by nearly 35 metres wide and has a 10 metre high central height, affording our clients a great deal of creative freedom and flexibility in the use of the space.

Hangar 84 offers:

  • full connection to all mains services
  • 600 amps, 3P, N+E
  • high bay sodium internal lighting
  • a secure facility, with an alarm system and overnight security personnel patrolling the site
  • toilets, offices and kitchen facilities, as required

CLIENTS

The producers of the smash-hit tour, Walking With Dinosaurs, the Arena Spectacular, hired the hangar as a rehearsal space for over a month, laying down flooring, setting up scenery and rehearsing with the animatronic life-sized dinosaurs. We provided all of the necessary accommodation and facilities including the offices, toilets and a catering marquee for the 50-strong team.

The hangar has also been used to facilitate a test-build of the Chanel Mobile Art Pavilion for ES Projects. This involved the erection of the main stage and all the steel work, the test application of 50% of the FRP panels to the steelwork, the test application of the exterior roof skins and also of interior liner panels.

LOCATION

Located in an attractive rural setting on Marston Moor Business Park, an ex-airfield, Hangar 84 is conveniently close to the market town of Wetherby, with very good road, rail and air links nearby. Approximate travel times are as follows:

A1 motorway: 5 minutes

York Train Station: 20 minutes

Leeds Train Station: 40 minutes

Leeds Bradford Airport: 45 minutes

We can recommend many hotels in the area, from several of the large chains based in York, to local independent hotels or public houses and we are more than happy to help you source these.
