Lighting & Effects
Integrated lighting is something that we provide for many of the projects with which we are involved. Some examples include: sculptural spheres in the entrance of the O2 arena; the Dark Ride installation for Edinburgh’s Scotch Whisky Experience; and Qmotion controlled lighting for Europe’s tallest wine tower, located in the atrium of the Radisson SAS Hotel, Zurich Airport. We’ve also created a River of Light sculpture for Manchester Airport, incorporating over 70 blue EncapSulite fittings.
Our work developing lighting and effects technologies has led to us being able to offer Qpix - LED's that can be embedded into the surface of scenic elements to create sophisticated computer controlled lighting effects.
Qpix is superbly demonstrated in the stage show of Priscilla Queen of the Desert, for which we created Priscilla the bus, complete with 40,000 individual pixels embedded into the surface, thus allowing a myriad of lighting effects to be achieved. Another example of this technology is the Olympic Handover celebrations in Beijing for which we embedded 1000 individual pixels of LED’s into the umbrellas used by the dancers.
We design, manufacture, control and install all of the following:
• Practical lighting
• LED fixtures and low resolution video walls
• Light boxes
• Lighting, sound and audio-visual
