Man-Eating Flower

Man-Eating Flower

Besides constructing a large hinged stage platform, we also manufactured a highly distinctive prop for this production: a 6m by 4m red flower, mounted on a steel skeleton attached to the rear of a large black bed. The petals of the flower fold over, enveloping the performer and allowing for a mystery exit from stage. Each plywood and aluminium mesh petal was covered in a material 'sock', the flower centre complete with accurately reproduced stamen.
