Because we encounter such a broad range of projects, we need to be able to satisfy the equally broad range of variables regarding paint application, curing, durability of finish and appearance. With this in mind, we offer a wide assortment of paint finishes and high-end specialist finishes.

POLYURETHANE FINISHES along with water based acrylic finishes provide high quality durable finishes across a wide range of materials from FRP panels to MDF furniture. Examples of this kind of high spec finish include the exterior panels for Chanel's Mobile Art Pavilion and the 'Z Stream' slide, a sculptural piece designed by Zaha Hadid Architects.

POLYVINYLIDENE FLUORIDE PAINT (PVDF) is well established in the façade market and widely recognized as a durable paint for façade panels. A warranty of up to 15 years can generally be offered, but over 30 years can be expected. PVDF is highly resistant to UV degradation and colour change.

METAL PAINT FINISHES We can spray primers, provide powder coating and apply quick drying air enamel paints. We use these finishes on our staging units, handrails and all metal-framed scenery.

SCENIC & DECORATIVE PAINT FINISHES Emulsions are predominantly used for exhibitions, scenic flats and for artistic applications. Examples include the spray painting and hand finishing of a 10m section of brick wall for the Hitachi Inspire Life Event, a project that also demonstrated a detailed paint finish in the accurate reproduction of a globe.

SPRAY BAKE OVENS We have two 6m x 4m spray bake ovens with dedicated paint kitchen and pre-mix line spray equipment. The spray bake ovens provide a very quick drying time and allow us to produce exceptionally high quality finishes, curing paints in an enclosed, temperature controlled booth that provides a filtered, dust free environment.

COMPOSITE CURING OVEN Our computer controlled composite curing oven provides highly accurate temperature control and can be programmed to follow a set temperature profile up to 100 degrees Celsius. Although typically 8m long, 6m wide and 4m high, the oven can be enlarged or reduced in size dependent on the size of the component to be cured/post-cured. The oven also includes connection to a high vacuum pump, making it suitable for curing prepreg and resin film infusion (RFI) material, as well as the post-curing of wet laid-up components/parts.
