Our
interpretation department played a key role when we were asked by event
management and print company, Tebays, to provide the scenic elements
for the press and dealer launch of the new Fiat Bravo. Our sculptors
and painters hand carved polystyrene blocks, which were then scenically
painted to resemble snow, rock or ice and used at various locations in
the event marquee, including the main presentation area, the stage and
around the entrance. The reception area contained a Perspex ‘ice’
sculpture and a desk, which was clad in different types of translucent
vac formed mouldings, treated to again look like snow and ice. We also
built a circular stage, fronted by a 20m x 4m cyclorama. The central
section revolved 180° to partially reveal the car behind ice-like
gauze before revolving again to fully reveal the car.
