Sales Director, Simon Wood Announces Retirement
After much consideration and months of careful planning, our Sales Director, Simon Wood has announced that he is to retire. Having given 30 years’ service to the company, he has now sold his shareholding back to fellow directors Mark Johnson and Jim Tinsley, and will be gradually working his way out of the company over the next few months, with a view to departing early next year.
Without a doubt Simon’s skill, tenacity and dedication to his clients has helped to make Stage One the huge success it is today. His artistic and creative perspective helped lay the foundations of the unique relationship between creativity and innovative engineering that underpins the company. We take great pride in the depth of understanding we have of our creative clients and Simon has helped foster and enhance this over the years, developing his team and leaving us all the stronger. Whilst we are sad to see him go, we wish him and his wife Carol health and happiness as they embark on this new phase of their lives.
Simon explained: “Retiring is not a decision I have taken lightly, but having given nearly 30 years to the business, it is time for me to repay the debt to my wife and family for all those years they quietly tolerated my long hours and frequent work-related absences. There are many things that I would like to do personally over the next few years and leaving now will give me the opportunity to do just that while I’m still relatively fit!”
