All in the Detail
We have a reputation for delivering big and expensive projects. Last year, however, two-thirds of our work had a value of less than £20,000. These projects don’t always make it onto our website projects page, but are an interesting and diverse collection, nevertheless. Similarly, many of our larger projects feature beautiful details that thrill our clients but don’t always make the spotlight of our case studies.
We thought we’d take you through a few small projects, missed details and finishing touches from a range of our work. Some of the unsung scenic heroes that have benefited from our workshop’s care and attention to detail. Not everything we make is huge. Some of it would fit in the palm of your hand.
The photos display a range of skills. There are accurately referenced paint finishes, precision cut and welded metalwork, joinery, sculpting, GRP and tricky vinyl flooring.
Projects include: distressed finishes for a secret ‘Forest Party’; benches for a Facebook event; peg boards for a Google event; GRP wood-topped benches for a shopping centre; a giant polystyrene brain; coloured plinths for the International Business Festival; copper mesh architectural detailing – with or without verdigris; Instagram at Cannes Lions 2017; and some of the smallest Android figures from the much larger MWC project.
