Environmental Audit
We’re very pleased to announce that we’ve passed our BSI interim audit for our ISO 14001:2015 Environmental Management Certification with flying colours, having made significant improvements since the auditor’s last visit.
Achieving and maintaining this certification is very important to us. It lies at the heart of our aim to improve Stage One’s overall sustainability. We’re committed to embedding good practice across every department, improving performance and constantly re-examining our approach to waste.
We now have a full time Compliance Manager, Kathy Pyne, who’s been working with all Departments as well as our Operations team and Health & Safety team to ensure we deliver against the ISO standards. The auditor was particularly impressed with the improved tidiness of the workshops. The impact of a clean and tidy environment can easily be underestimated but it has tremendous impact and knock-on effect with regards to efficiency, safety and waste awareness.
Our pro-active and risk-reduction approach to the COSHH guidelines was also noted and we were able to demonstrate great improvements with regards to overall environmental awareness. From ensuring we procure materials locally wherever we can, to strict recycling procedures; environmental good practice benefits everyone: our clients, our staff and our business.
