New Project Announcement
During our time in PyeongChang working on the Winter Olympic Ceremonies earlier this year, we built strong relationships with several Creative Technology companies based in South Korea. And so, we were delighted when, earlier this summer, we were contacted by Artechnolozy, a Korean production company that specialises in the design of entertainment environments, festivals and theatre.
Artechnolozy had been commissioned to design the interior of an Incheon entertainment complex. Part of the design scheme includes a live performance involving two aerialists that will fly amongst suspended kinetic lighting and sculptures. Stage One was asked to design and fabricate two curved steel tracks of 16m, each supporting a carriage and winch from which the aerialists would be flown. Additionally, we were tasked with supplying automation and control hardware and software to control not only these pieces of engineering, but also the lighting and kinetic sculptures provided by others.
All of the hardware, engineering and fabrication was produced at our facility in the UK before being air-freighted out to Korea for installation. We have crew flying out to site later this week and will complete the installation and integration tasks ahead of the opening night on September 14th.
