Canada Goose Raindrops
These touring experiential activations of colour-changing raindrops were commissioned for our client as part of Canada Goose’s ‘#DryAnywhere’ promotional campaign.
The top 80% of the raindrops were 3D printed by our sister company Fluxaxis and the foam bases shaped on our 5-axis CNC machine. Each was fitted with a steel base, a steel spigot attached to a pipe allowing water to flow up through the raindrop and bubble out at the top. Each raindrop went through an intricate 11-stage scenic process, beginning with preparation and priming before multi-coloured camouflage patterns were hand-sprayed by our scenic team. Each drop was then finished with hydrochromic paint, which dries matte white but is activated by water to reveal the vivid colours beneath.
We manufactured anti-slip platforms, adapting them as required for different locations, created concrete-effect branded bases and also provided the lighting for influencer evenings in Paris and London. A set of thirteen drops visited London’s Southbank and the Pompidou in Paris, two smaller sets visited New York and Vancouver, and two larger 1600mm individual raindrops went to Milan and London.
