Operations Supervisor

We are currently looking for an experienced Department Supervisor to lead our very busy Operations Team based at our workshops in Tockwith, near York.

Operations is an extremely busy department responsible for the preparation, safe loading and returns of built items, plant and equipment for all our projects. Operations acts as a central role within the business providing support to all production departments, as required.

Suitable candidates need to have proven experience of leading a team, prioritising tasks and maintaining high levels of quality and internal customer service. Working to tight deadlines, problem solving and having an innovation approach within the department is key to help progress the Operations Team within Stage One.

This is a permanent position working between 7.30am and 4pm – Monday to Friday with a requirement for regular overtime.

Head of Automation

Stage One is currently seeking an experienced Senior Manager with a high degree of technical knowledge and competency to oversee automation projects for Stage One and further develop our growing Automation Team.

Their focus would be to oversee all automation projects from initial inception to successful project delivery by providing support and guidance to the Automation Engineers and working closely with the Head of Technical & Head of Engineering. Further Research and Development of our automation systems and equipment will also be a key objective for this senior role, in line with our 5 year business plan.
The role is based at our head office in Tockwith, near York, but will also involve some work away on site, as required.

We are looking for experienced Operators and Programmers to join our very busy Machining Team at Stage One.

Due to an increase in project work in 2016 and into 2017, we are looking for experienced Operators and Programmers to work on our Laser Tube and Laser Plate machines at our workshop in Tockwith, near York.

We are currently looking for qualified & experienced Freelance Bench Hand Joiners to join our day shift (06:00 - 16:00 hrs) & evening shift (15:45 - 00:15 hrs Monday to Friday) in the busy Wood Workshop Department based in Tockwith, near York.

We are looking for experienced / time served Joiners to strengthen and develop the team during an exceptionally busy period. You need to be reliable, hard-working and flexible to work overtime on a regular basis. The position is workshop based for the next 2-4 weeks with the potential to extend this working period.

We are looking for an experienced Stores Person to work at our site in Tockwith, near York. This is a busy and demanding role which requires a flexible approach.

The Role:
• Setting and operating CNC machinery (SCM machines & AlphaCAM software)
• Machining wood & polystyrene
• Working to tight tolerances
• Manufacturing parts working from technical drawings

The Person:
Ideal candidates will -
• Be able to work using own initiative and be self-motivated
• Work with the minimum of supervision
• Enjoy working as part of a team environment
• Show attention to detail with a high regard for the quality of workmanship
• Have a strong awareness of health and safety in the workplace
• Have proven experience with CNC machining
• Machine part programming (editing)
• Work to close tolerances
