Engineering Supervisor

We are currently looking for an experienced Engineering Supervisor based at our workshops in Tockwith, near York.

As the Engineering Supervisor you will report to the Head of Engineering and lead a team of 8 Engineers. You will be an integral part of the team with excellent engineering experience and leadership abilities. Being a key member of the team, you will add value, be able to mentor and motivate your team in production and project builds, meeting customer deadlines.

This is a permanent position working between 7.30am and 4.00pm – Monday to Friday with a requirement for regular overtime. Salary is negotiable depending upon experience.


We are currently looking for an experienced Marketing Manager to lead our very busy Marketing team based in Tockwith, near York.

The Marketing Manager will be responsible for implementing the Marketing Strategy set by the Marketing Director. This will involve managing the company's marketing activity from brief to execution. The Marketing Manager will oversee the production of all promotional materials and marketing campaigns and will have direct reports in the form of the internal Marketing Team.

Structural Engineer

Stage One are looking for an experienced Structural Engineer to join our Engineering Department based at our main office in Tockwith, near York.
On appointment to the role, the successful candidate will work closely with our current Structural Engineer during his phased reduction in hours, towards his voluntary retirement in 2018.

Experience of steel and timber with a varied experience in all common forms of construction and building types is essential, as well as being degree qualified in Structural Engineering and will be chartered or in the process of getting chartered in MICE or MIStructE.

Degree in Civil / Structural Engineering
Structural analysis design
Experience of working with timber, steel and aluminium structures
Experience of working with British and Eurocodes
Proficient IT user – AutoCAD Inventor knowledge & Masterseries structural analysis

Project/Production Manager

Stage One is searching for fresh talent to help us to deliver extraordinary work. Specifically, we're seeking highly motivated Production/Project Managers with experience within a creative construction or technical background.

You will be responsible for the delivery of projects, working closely with the Account Handler and the Production Team based in Tockwith, near York.
All applicants will require a sound understanding of construction methods and site implementation. We are especially looking for candidates with experience of small to medium scale arena shows.
Stage One is based in Yorkshire, but travel within the UK, Europe and worldwide will also be necessary depending upon the project venues.

Stores Person

We are currently looking for an experienced Stores Person to work in our very busy Stores Department based in Tockwith, near York.

Applicants need to be reliable, hard-working and flexible to work overtime on a regular basis. The position is workshop based, hours of work: Monday – Friday 7.30am – 4.00pm, plus regular overtime.

Required Skills & Experience:
Experience in a manufacturing/engineering stores environment
Proven knowledge of Stores procedures & stock control
Good all round knowledge of consumables, plant / equipment & PPE
Knowledge of LOLER regulations - preferable but not essential
Sound knowledge of goods inwards procedures and dealing with suppliers
