Al Ain Museum was the UAE’s first museum. Following extensive renovation, the facility was re-opened in October 2025, and we were approached by DAE Global for the provision of scenic and automation for the opening ceremony.

We manufactured 30 panels of varying sizes for the performance, the largest panel 2m wide by 3.3m high. Fabricated using 40x40mm box section steel, we clad the front in a 12mm single skin and a third-party then clad all sides and applied a textured scenic finish which served as a projection surface for the shows visual creative.

Fitted with wheels, most panels were moved manually. However, the eight inner panels were divided into two banks of four and automated using our Qmotion system. We built CDS track into the stage and applied grooved wheels to the panels. Each bank was fitted with a motor and friction wheel and controlled using our Galileo operating console.

We also installed two Joule Scissor Lifts that were used to raise the cast to stage level. The hydraulic power pack was located approximately 50 metres away, hidden out of view behind the surrounding trees.
