Android Avenue 2026 comprised seven structures. Implementing a modular approach, each was a standalone activation, and yet consistent styling delivered a cohesive brand experience.
Several structures were refurbished from previous years, giving each zone a fresh identity without a full rebuild. Our metal shop re-worked structures with steel modifications, our wood shop crafted new displays, and our scenic team applied new finishes throughout.
Nano & Veo were the most visually distinctive areas. Nano was split into two sections: McLaren was a single colour, entirely orange except for the black floor that referenced F1 track asphalt. Whilst Nano Banana required delicate precision to deliver the vibrant rays that spread from the polycarbonate banana design at its centre. Veo was a large open structure with three curved top display plinths manufactured in our wood shop.
RCS was an 8m structure with a polycarbonate front window, LED halo lighting, and four lightboxes fitted into the rear exterior. We installed the roof sections using a roto lift, completed with a permeable TFS system allowing water drainage through integrated legs. Internally, the space was divided into three brand environments, one including a real coffee bean wall with thousands of beans tightly enclosed within a bespoke frame and glass fascia.
More playful activations included Wordmark, we manufactured a 6m-long Android lettering installation with 3D printed scenic scaffolding elements that suggested it had been constructed by the Android Bugdroids. And a slot machine combining a physical pull-handle with a tablet-based spinning wheel app, mounted on a bike and ridden along the avenue.
XR was formed from three joined Spacecube pods we clad together with birch plywood slatted fins and an exterior “Lensometer” kiosk. Internally, the cubes featured integrated LED shelving, we concealed the drivers beneath the ramp leading into the structure.
We installed the seven structures with 52 crew working across five 12-hour shifts, requiring efficient on-site sequencing and co-ordination to meet the demanding programme.
