We created a series of immersive and interactive environments around the theme of ‘Our Fuel Story: Problem, Solution and Benefit’ for this global launch event of BP’s new anti-dirt fuels. The event welcomed specially invited guests from 15 different countries over five days.
The effect of dirt on fuel was examined through a series of high-spec science museum-type displays and interactive exhibits. These used real or scenically reproduced engine parts in conjunction with projection, lighting effects and graphics to convey the issues associated with dirty fuel. All were mounted on plinths treated with a concrete-look scenic finish and housed within high-spec acrylic boxes.
We created a ‘fuel cap’ door and projection tunnel leading delegates into a theatre area housed within a geodesic dome. We fitted out the complex curved interior and provided raked seating. The comprehensive scenic package also included counters, plinths for cars, signage and inter-changeable graphics in different languages.
