From stage hardware and scenography to fabrication and automation, Stage One was thrilled to be involved in the star-studded Joy Awards of 2025.

For the show’s opening we manufactured the on-stage performer wall, replicating that at the venue’s entrance. We built a steel box set system, sixteen boxes on two carriages, powered by two SEW motors and run along a guide rail built into the stage.

Using our Qmotion automation platform and revolve, we turned the podium Christina Aguilera performed on to reveal the singer to the audience. And we fabricated the lighting ring that descended over her from above.

We manufactured a PD4 winch driven lift for Wael Kfoury to rise from substage to join Michael Bublé on stage for their duet.

In contrast, Gypsy King was a static set for which we manufactured the caravan structure, a steel frame clad in timber with woodwork wheels, supplied to the client in black gloss for final finishing.

As the event approached its crescendo so did the set.

For Icons of Sounds we provided a platform for the guitarist to be flown across the stage, the steel framework for the scenic columns that split open to reveal the performers hidden within, and the stage riser for the drumming performance.

And for the grand finale, the 10m Helix weighing in at 14.5 tonnes was comprised of two staircases, 32 treads on each stair formed in a compounded curve around the central column on which 58 performers could access their pre-set position.

The Helix was first test built in our premises in the UK prior to the show. On site its storage position was 40m away from the revolve and was motor driven down the track and into its position on stage using a local console.

Throughout the show the orchestra was raised and lowered between performances and presentations using two lifts, each fitted with four JAF winches. We provided two operators, two drive technicians and one electrician to support the show.
