The Junior Structural Engineer will assist with the design and engineering of projects spanning the architectural, construction, exhibition and live events sectors to relevant standards including Eurocodes, Machinery Directive and Stage Engineering Standards. The industry in which we work is not a standard structural environment, applicants should either have experience of or want to work outside of a building industry environment in a fast-paced dynamic organisation and be very reactive to project requirements and flexible to change.

01Produce engineering solutions with supporting calculations and analysis using Autodesk Robot, or by hand for conceptual and detail designed projects.
02Specify member, component and weld sizes and materials according to analysis standards required and prepare written specifications.
03Check drawings and calculations by others, ensuring their fitness for purpose.
04Liaise with other members of the project team to achieve a coordinated engineering solution that meets the defined objectives.
05Act as a design representative at meetings with the internal project team and/or external clients, suppliers and project stakeholders.
06Inform or produce project documentation including project plans, design risk assessments, structural reports, mechanical calculations, inspection & test plans, RAMS, temporary works designs, installation plans, lifting plans and technical files.
07Attend sites as necessary to verify installations.
