Singapore Bicentennial Experience

Location
Fort Canning Centre, Singapore

We were approached by representatives from Singapore’s Prime Ministerial Offices to provide elements for two acts of The Bicentennial Experience, an immersive installation that aimed to bring the rich history of Singapore to life.

Act One included video, gauze and a travellator on which actors performed. Positioned in front of an LED backdrop, the travellator allowed the live action to be synchronised and blended with the video content. We also installed a track system that moved flag props towards the performers, as well as providing the automation control for the heavy-duty cycle of eight shows a day, six days a week.

For Act Three, we manufactured and installed a revolve and a set of sliding screens onto which video content was projected. The exhibition aimed to be immersive, and this mechanism enhanced certain elements with the doors sliding in a circular fashion to reveal an opening for the audience.

The exhibition was hugely successful and well received by visitors of all ages.
